scrap-it-lah august challenge

Here is my submission for the August challenge over at Scrap-It-Lah.
I have not done any scrapbook pages for weeks,
so it feels good to actually get one done.

I did a two-page spread as it felt a bit tight on a single one. The current challenge requires stamping, embossing and misting;
plus dressing up a raw chipboard.

The flower centre is a papermania bare basics chipboard, which has been inked, stickled and topped with liquid pearls. The title letters are also chipboard. They have been inked and the bottom coated  with a pearl pen. I was hoping for a bit of dimension, but in the end it just looks chocolate-coated! LOL!

The edges are Viva Decor flourish stamps, which are then inked with DIs. The misting smack right down between the pages is not too obvious. It set the tone for the colours though. A little pink, and highlighted with browns.

The butterflies are cuttlebug. This one has been embossed, inked and coated with crackle paint. The centre is a plain button run through with a satin ribbon. The fly trail is done with paper pen.

The colours look rather washed-out here. IRL they are a lot more vivid. Must be the lighting. This is what happens when one does things the Malaysian way
- at the eleventh hour! Oh well . . .
