Hello again!
~ Ü ~
Still playing with pink, but now combined with purple and grey. These are the colours for this week's challenge at Creative Inspirations. And it just so happens that If the Shoe Fits . . . Scrap It! has this photo for inspiration.
I'm using the sketch over at Card Patterns for this creation.
The flowers stamp is by Viva Decor. This is one of my favourite stamps which I got last year, and so I'm playing at Simply Create. It is stamped using Versacolor and embossed with holographic ep. The paper is a free download from a UK magazine. I printed this sometime ago and presently, I can't remember the title of the mag. And as usual, some distressing and inking on the edges.
The flowers have been coloured with colour pencils and aquabrush. I guess the glittery embossing is not obvious here . . .
Here's a tip on colouring with aquabrush and pencils. Instead of colouring the image with pencils and running a brush over it, you can also take the colours directly off the pencil. You'll get much better control over the application. The colours are more intense, so it's wise to first test on scrap paper. Also, did you know you can actually lick colours off regular colour pencils? It really works! The colours might not be as deep as water colour pencils, and you have to adjust the wetness of your brush, but you can get more variety.
I have layered dark purple ribbon over a lighter purple one, which suits the Top Tip Tuesday criteria of 2 or more ribbons, etc. The flowers are cut with a CB die, and covers the challenge over at Dutch Dare Card Challenge (Bingo - ribbon, flowers, die cuts). They are then embossed and inked with charcoal chalk ink. To finish, they are topped with grey buttons tied with grey embroidery floss.
There are lots of flowers here, so I'm linking up with allsorts challenge blog as well. Simon Says Stamp! is looking for 1000 entries, so why not? LOL!
Thanks for stopping by!
