white santa

Another white Christmas creation.
There's just something about white on white . . .
~ Ü ~

Not full white this time, but with an added touch of silver and off white. The sketch is from Papercraft Star, which happens to be a more elaborate form of the sketch from Our Creative Corner.

The main image is a Crafty Secrets stamp. It has been heat embossed in silver, layered on silver and then on a lacey white circle. It is mounted over white grosgrain ribbon and lace. The embellies are a raffia bow (painted white) and die cut buttons (topped with glossy & crackle accents).

The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Just showing the layers over the embossed base card. Despite the whiteness, the pics have come out a bit dark. The embossing reflects direct lighting, and these were the best of the lot.

Tip for today . . . how NOT to heat emboss
~ Ü ~
Do not delay heat embossing by a long period of time. I started this card early in the morning. I thought I would just stamp and apply embossing powder, then use the heat tool after the little one has woken up. Bad idea! I could only get back to the card mid-morning. And when I applied the heat tool, most of the powder just flew off, leaving a patchy image, with dots in random places.

Thanks for stopping by!
